Duck Hunting

Morning Duck Hunt

We offers some of the finest guided duck hunts in Texas. Our experienced guides will provide the knowledge and know-how to make your Texas Duck Hunting trip exciting!

Morning duck hunts take place in freshwater ponds and marshes. These are either in inland pockets of saltwater marsh or on ponds in leased fields. The blinds are constructed as above ground blinds, pit blinds, or haybale blinds. The number and type of decoys used will vary greatly depending on the size of the area being hunted and conditions that particular day. Species include mallards, widgeon, teal, gadwall, pintails and mottled duck.

Afternoon Duck Hunt

Our afternoon duck hunts are a speciality. They are conducted in saltwater marshes, where you will be transported to and from your blind via airboat or bay boats. All bay hunts are guided by licensed US Coast Guard Captains.

In contrast to mostly puddle ducks we encounter on our morning hunts, you'll be exposed to an array of diving ducks on the afternoon hunt. Species include redhead, bufflehead, pintail, teal, and scaup.

Texas Duck Hunting is explosive! We chase ducks in the freshwater marsh, flooded rice fields, and saltwater bays. Both freshwater marsh hunts and flooded rice field hunts consist of four to five dozen decoys, a retriever, and a brushed blind or pit. These hunts are morning only with a six bird per person limit of mostly puddle ducks. Our salt water bay hunts occur in the afternoon using bay boats and/or airboats, ten dozen decoys and brushed blinds. The ducks on these hunts are mostly divers.
